The Phoenix Women’s Sports Association raises money to help girls and women in Arizona get active — and stay active — in sports and fitness. We accomplish this with the generous support of community members and corporate partners, and your help can transform the lives of females who need it most.

PWSA’s 8th Annual Sports Awards Nomination

Each year at the PWSA Annual Sports Awards Dinner, we honor young girls and women who have made a great impact in the athletic world and will continue to make a great impact in their communities.

You can help recognize these future leaders by nominating individual athletes, teams and coaches. Honorees receive PWSA scholarships and school donations that support athletic and educational endeavors.

PWSA Scholarship Program

The scholarship awards program provides educational and training opportunities to young females in the Phoenix area who want to pursue club sports.

High school girls who have demonstrated a commitment to athletic excellence, as well as financial need, are encouraged to apply. The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the scholarship recipient’s club team to be applied toward the recipient’s club fees, uniform costs and any related travel costs.

All of our scholarship dollars have been allocated for the first half of 2011. Please check back periodically for announcements regarding our next application deadline.

General Grant Application

PWSA grants of various levels are available to any girl or woman involved in sports. Applicants must demonstrate an athletic need, such as team and tournament fees, uniforms or traveling expenses. Coaches, teams and individuals are encouraged to apply.
